Case Study

West Point Army/Navy Game

When the US Military Academy asks you if you can bring louisiana flair to upstate New York, there only one answer you can give. “laissez les bon temps rouler”

Intro

The Army / Navy Game

The rivalry kicked off 128 years ago when Cadet Dennis Mahan Michie accepted a “challenge” from the Naval Academy and the two squads faced off on The Plain at West Point on November 29, 1890. Since then this game has become one of the biggest rivalries in sports with presidents attending games, and a constant sold out stadium!

How to bring Louisiana to New York

Challenge

The request was to bring a Louisiana flair and feed and approximately 5,000 cadets in northern New York. Geaux Culinary partnered with Walk-On’s Bistreaux in Baton Rouge, loaded up our staff, our mobile kitchens, and unique Walk-On’s Louisiana cuisine and took it all the way to West Point.

Solution

Geaux Culinary and Walk-On’s provided the West Point cadets a taste of home to give the cadets who had never tasted Louisiana cuisine a new favorite to write home about. Geaux Culinary and Walk-on’s were a big hit and will now be a regular on the West Point campus.

Testimonial

“Never had cajun food but this is amazing, I look forward to next year!”

Said every cadet that had a bite.
